WEATHER
The Surfside Beach area is blessed with the perfect blend of seasonal temperatures … ideal beach weather in the Summer, pleasant Springs, warm Autumn breezes and with only 42 frost days, no "hard winters." The Grand Strand has an average of 215 sunny days and an average temperature of 64° F.
EDUCATION
Newcomers will find both quality and quantity here. The Horry County School District supports more than 40 elementary and high schools.

The fourth fastest growing airport in the U.S., Myrtle Beach International can connect you with the rest of the world, with a variety of airlines and schedules, linking with every major hub nationwide.
 GOLF
The Grand Strand is known worldwide for the beauty and affordability of its more than 115 public golf courses, and there are plans to build at least two dozen more golf courses in the next few years, including upscale facilities by designers such as Tom Fazio, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Greg Norman. The Grand Strand is home to some of the most unique, challenging and picturesque golf courses in the world. Golfers can experience the beauty of oceanfront holes or stand in the midst of giant live oaks draped in Spanish moss on the site of a colonial rice plantation. Course designers have taken great pains to protect the natural habitat and wildlife indigenous to the area while creating courses that are technically challenging and beautiful.

With nearly a dozen theaters hosting everything from country-tinged variety shows to big-name comedy acts to a national television talk show, the Grand Strand's live-entertainment industry has evolved far beyond the initial comparisons to country-theater mecca Branson, Missouri.
NIGHTLIFE
How do you follow a sun-filled day at the beach? With a fun-filled night on the town, of course!
The Grand Strand is well stocked with nightclubs, sports bars, beach clubs and other hot spots. The area has a wealth of dance clubs, karaoke clubs, and live entertainment.
